S_Bhassorn_LimanondaDear APA Members:

Due to my retirement from Chulalongkorn University in 2010, I have decided to resign from the post of Executive Secretary at the Asian population Association which is effective in January 2011.

To ensure the smooth administration and to maintain close coordination between the Association and members, the tasks under responsibility of the Executive Secretary are currently transferred to Associate Professor Sureeporn Punpeung, the Director of Institute of Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, Thailand. Dr. Sureeporn will carry on the tasks along with the new Council members who will run the Association during the next two years (2011-2012).

During the past three years (2008-2010), as one of the member of Establishment Committee (EC.) and the Executive Secretary of Asian Population Association, it was my great pleasure to serve the Association in these capacities, and be able to more or less contribute to the growth of the Association under the guidance of and close coordination with the first APA Council members during 2009-2010.

I am most certain that the Association will continue to grow under the direction of most capable Council members and the new Executive Secretary, and continued support of all APA members. Thank you very much for your support.
